These are for personal, branded business emails, intended for one-to-one or small group, every-day communication. These are not intended as a solution for Email Marketing (those resources are on the CRMs & Email Marketing resources page). All businesses should have branded emails, not just for a consistent branding appearance, but also for business-grade privacy and security.
Mirex Marketing is not an IT service; we are a Marketing Agency. We can help set up branded emails if needed, though we often defer to IT people for this since they will handle more of your technology stack, including technology used for internal and external communications. We only work with the technology that is related to marketing and branding.

These are the business-grade counterparts that you may have used with a free Gmail email address. If you have used Gmail then adopting this service will be easy.

Qualifying nonprofit organizations do not have to pay for branded emails or the business-grade tools available with Google Workspace. 501(c)(3) organizations qualify, other types of nonprofits may also qualify if they are not intended for religious procelyting or political lobbying.

Mirex Marketing can help you set up custom domain emails through Google Workspace and other hosting providers. We can also integrate your new custom domain email with email marketing tools, CRMs and most other applications that you might use for marketing. However, our services stop with marketing applications and if you’d like an IT provider to handle your custom domain emails we can still work with you for your marketing.
Andrew and his team at Kiendeleo, LLC are a fantastic IT provider. They also happen to be a Google Workspace reseller. As a reseller they will receive a small commission for selling the service to you but will not add to the price of Google Workspace.
Whether you need IT assistance for your full technology stack or not, there is a pretty good reason to use this recommended reseller – they can offer additional support when Google Workspace support is not helping you with what you need.

Office 365 – Microsoft’s hallmark software, Word, Power Point and Excell, are arguably better than Google’s counterparts, but Google’s email (Gmail, both free and paid) has always been better, and the Office 365 business suite is hard to work with. Google Workspace also has a free feature where they assign an email address to a Group. This is an extra email that your marketing team can use and you don’t have to pay extra for it. All internal and external members of the group will receive emails sent to the group.

Can I use the email service offered by my hosting provider?
All hosting providers used to provide this, but some have removed it from their line of services. If your hosting provider offers it then it can help you get by if you have nothing else, but Google Workspace is better.
If I sign up for Google Workspace, where do I go to login?
Once you sign up for a Google Workspace account, you’ll indicate how many emails (or inboxes) you are purcahsing for your organization.
Whenever you need to change settings in your Google Workspace Account for your orgnization you’ll go to admin.google.com.
You and everyone else in your business who has an email will go to gmail.com to access your email inbox (same login page for branded and free emails). People who love Gmail will love Google Workspace. People who don’t love Gmail compared to other email services are just weird.
Why can't I use this for Email Marketing?
If you use a personal email inbox to send messages to multiple people at once, even if its a business-grade personal email inbox, you’ll get flagged as a spammer by your email service provider and/or the service providers that receive the emails. It’s terrible for the user experience, and it’s not compliant with rules and laws that regulate email marketing. All of this applies whether you are using paid branded emails or free emails. For email marketing you need one of the tools that we list on the CRMs & Email Marketing resources section (or another compliant tool), and there is more information in that section about the CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR and CCPA.
When you get an email marketing tool, your email address will be connected to it so that the emails sent from the tool will be from you and your email address, and when people reply to your email marketing messages, those replies will go to your inbox, unless you set it up to not accept replies.
Do I need more than one email if I'm currently the only person in my business?
You will certainly want an email for yourself which might be yourname@yourdomain.com.
You might also want some generic emails for your organization like admin@yourdomain or customerservice@yourdomain. At first you do not have to purchase seperate inboxes for these emails. They can be set up as aliases, meaning they will send messages to your inbox even though the email address is different.
For various reasons, your marketing team will also need one or more emails that is not shared with your inbox. You can buy an inbox for that with it’s own email and that gives you the most features. Yet, we can also create a Group in Google Workspace which automatically assigns an email address without having to pay for an extra inbox. Anyone who is part of the group will receive emails sent to the group.
For best practices, we suggest not having the email addresses sales@yourdomain or marketing@yourdomain for any purpose where the email is publicly displayed or seen by customers. For the email that is shared with the marketing team it can be customerinquiries@yourdomain or publicrelations@yourdomain.
